Can you recommend a neighborhood in/ near Plano, TX, that allows walking or biking to a small downtown area? - private pre teens

We plan to move to the area of Plano. It is my wife and I and two pre-teen. We want to live a place close enough to find for a little walk from downtown and access to bike trails and close gates and doors to other recreational opportunities. The school system is another important factor for us, they are good public schools or other alternatives such as charter or private schools. Thank you!
